Video: New Year on Koh Larn (Island Stuff)

Koh Larn is one of the nearest islands to Bangkok! It’s just off the coast of Pattaya, and can be reached by a 45-minute ferry from the mainland.

We head out to Koh Larn early New Year’s morning, run out of money, and enjoy some nice cold beer by the sea. We have a fancy New Year’s feast of instant noodles and Calpis Lacto, and explore the Big Buddha Temple in Pattaya.

No new videos this year, but we’ll be finishing up posting all of our old videos on the blog! We will be back in January with tons of new videos, comics, and articles! Stay tuned!

For those of you who might not be familiar with durian, it’s widely accepted as the world’s stinkiest fruit.

Christmas has come to Bangkok!

I bought a tiny little Christmas tree to put up in my studio apartment during my first Christmas in Bangkok. It wasn’t much, but it was something. I just felt like it couldn’t be Christmas without a few decorations up.

Well, I’m not a single college guy anymore. I’ve got to be a bit more “domestic” these days! Pinky helped me decorate my tree with “ornaments”: touristy key chains! They are mostly Thai; elephants, khon masks, and the like.

Merry Christmas from us in Bangkok to you wherever you are! We hope this holiday season brings you peace, joy, and love!

Let’s kick off Christmas week with our 2015 Christmas Special, in which we celebrate the Bangkok way! Starting in the Em District, we admire the “illuminations” (Christmas Lights) at all the best hotels and malls from Phrom Pong to Chidlom! Then, we make a glass of delicious eggnog to get into the spirit of the season.

That’s how it all began.

In honor of the opening of a branch of Pablo Cheesecake here in Bangkok, we are re-releasing our very first comic.

Looking back at our first post, it’s clear that our format and style has changed a lot in the past five months. We are re-releasing our first comic to better fit the style of our later posts.

We hope you continue to enjoy the comics as much as we enjoy making them! We are looking forward to many more adventures in the coming year.

Snacktime: Asia! Ep. 5 – Shark Fin Crackers and Durian Coffee

Welcome back to Snacktime: Asia!, the least-viewed video series on our channel!

This week, we have some very special snacks from abroad. First, shark fin flavored crackers from Hong Kong, then some coffee flavored with the world’s smelliest fruit from Singapore.

We are branching out now! Instead of just Thai snacks, we are trying to find crazy stuff from convenience stores all across Asia! If you have any suggestions, let us know in the comments!
